Principal and Owner
Gail Truman founded Truman Technologies in early 2010. Prior to founding the company, Gail held numerous technical marketing positions with Sun Microsystems Inc., including storage portfolio strategist, competitive analyst, product manager, marketing programs manager and business development manager. Gail most recently was responsible for driving the creation of solution "appliances" built around Oracle Sun hardware and software technologies and leading open source software
On leaving Sun, Gail had created an application stack comprising Sun servers, storage, databases and open source DAM/repository software (Fedora/Islandora). This was taken to market under the name SOAR (Scalable Online Archive and Repository) using the Sun reseller distribution network. Since 2010, as owner and CEO of Truman Technologies, Gail Truman has helped numerous institutions implement SOAR and its underlying DAM software.
Gail has consulted and gained education in several public cloud infrastructure platforms and the challenges customers can face adopting - or migrating to - the cloud.
Other relevant experience includes unix systems analyst at Gould Inc., director of corporate communications at Harris Corporation Computer Systems Division, public relations manager at Encore Computer Systems, Inc. Gail was educated in England UK at Sheffield University and awarded a BS degree in Business and Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University Florida.

Head of Operations and Reseller Channel
Kathleen Short joined Truman Technologies in early 2010. Kathleen started her career at IBM in various technical roles including software engineer, systems engineer and then moved into sales, in the software development vertical. The last few years at IBM were spent in channel sales and as a Strategic Alliance Manager. Kathleen also worked at Unify Corporation, a developer of software development tools, as Director of Partner Marketing where she fostered key relationships with other technology vendors to co-sell and co-market with. The last 12 years, prior to Truman Technologies were spent at Arrow Electronics - ECS (Enterprise Computing Solutions) division, Kathleen started out as a channel manager, recruiting, growing and managing Sun's VAR channel in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco territory. The last 7 years was as a Business Development Manager where she was responsible for strategic initiatives including developing new revenue streams for the Sun division of Arrow ECS. This included developing, launching and managing new software and services for Arrow's Sun channel partners that complimented Sun Microsystems hardware and software, giving the partners, and Arrow, more Value-Add hence enjoying higher margins and increased profits for both. SOAR (Scalable Online Archive & Repository) was the most recent of these solutions. Consulting with Truman Technologies, we developed this solution based on Open Source Archive & Repository application software, and Oracle technology. Integrating the entire stack, via Arrow’s integration center, truman Technologies provides an appliance-like offering for the VAR channel to sell.
Kathleen has a BS degree in Computer Science with a minor in business along with additional Masters’ courses in database technologies and artificial intelligence.

Chief Technology Officer
Raymond A. Clarke is a lecturer and consultant with expertise spanning twenty-five+ years in storage management, performance, capacity planning and architecting storage infrastructure solutions. Ray helped develop the Storage Network Industry (SNIA) Data Management Forum and served on the forum’s board of directors at its inception. Ray held several positions focused on technical storage solutions and long-term digital information archive and preservation solutions development with Sun Microsystems over a 15 year period. Most recently, Ray contributed to Oracle’s Hardware and Engineered Systems Infrastructure Team, within the Enterprise Solutions Group as a Senior Enterprise Storage Solutions Consultant, with a focus on both field sales enablement and support and technical training. Ray has been a frequent and highly-rated PASIG speaker and has been a member of the PASIG steering committee since 2007. Ray holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Project Manager
Colleen Lang is the newest addition to the team, lending her impressive background in project management to Truman Technologies as its client and customer base for SOAR solutions expands. Colleen's experience comes from managing extensive, global teams of suppliers and from the development of master production schedules for a top-ranked PC and cloud-based software company in the USA.
